About Us

Our school is open September through July. Royal Academy of Dancing ballet syllabus is taught and recognized worldwide. For students taking Ballet, the first 6 months are dedicated to technique. Students participate in Ballet Exams and Presentations based on teacher recommendations. Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Tap, Acrobatics, Salsa and Hawaiian are classes also offered at our Dance Studio throughout the school term.

We are proud that students who want to pursue dance have advanced to levels helping them reach their goals. Most recently one of our advanced students was accepted to Idyllwild Performing Arts High School on a full scholarship. Additional students have expressed their desires to audition for other Performing Arts High Schools in the area.

Students on the Dance Team represent the school when additional performances besides our recital are scheduled. Performances have included Chamber of Commerce events, performing at local Elementary, Intermediate and High Schools, and the Montebello Town Center. The Dance Team performed regularly at the Betty Boop Contest presented by Heavenly Choice in Montebello. They were recently invited to perform at the Mad Hatters Event for the Board Members of the So. CA Motion Picture Committee with Margaret O'Brien and Shirley Jones as two of the Honorary guest. Additional performances include dancing at the L.A. County Fair, Children Uniting Nations Day of the Child and New York Alumni Association in Beverly Hills.

All Performers participate at the Dance Recital held the last Saturday of July at the Downey Theatre. Costume purchases are made from December through April. All participants receive medals. Students attending from September thru July are awarded a Perfect Attendance Trophy. Dance Team members also receive an additional trophy as a Thank you! for their extra dedication.
